WITNESS MY SHAME

This series of four shadow boxes examines how individuals seek to talk around or cover up discussions of mental illness.
Each box has a phrase etched into plexiglas that must be closely inspected in order to read. The phrases link up as such:
"I feel like I don't have control // I'LL PRAY FOR YOU"
"I just feel kind of numb//JUST SMILE"
"It feels like a life and death kind of thing//DON'T HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW"
"I can't experience any more joy//SUCK IT UP"
